Determination, talent, passion and silent grind.

QUALIFYING-LEVEL ACTION IN FREE PRACTICE

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, former GT4 Bronz driver Andrius Zemaitis and young talent Karel Staut delivered a consistent performance to claim the top spot for NokoTech Racing by Speedy and their Toyota. However, the pressure was relentless, with Portuguese duo Nuno Afonso and Alexandre Areia (Gianfranco Motorsport) just a few hundredths behind and Bruno Pires and Mark Kastelic (Lema Racing) completing the top three, keeping the division wide open heading into qualifying.

PERFECT PARITY IN SECOND TEST SESSION

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava put NM Racing Team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 at the top of the timesheets, with Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) just 0.030s behind and Bruno Pereira and Gonçalo Araújo (Araújo Competição’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO) less than a tenth and a half from the lead, underlining how close the pace was – and is expected to remain – for the rest of the weekend.

TESTS PROMISE ON-TRACK BATTLES

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Sérgio Azevedo and Orlando Batina (Batina Racing’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) set the pace with a 1:41.790, leaving Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) 0.313s behind. It was an auspicious start for this duo, teaming up for the first time. José Cautela and Lourenço Monteiro (McLaren Barcelona – SMC Motorsport’s McLaren Artura GT4) were third, just 0.347s off the top, hinting at a fierce weekend battle.

QUALIFYING ON FIRE AND A BIG SURPRISE : YOUNG ROOKIE TAKES POLE

If the first session had already got the crowd on their feet, the second was equally electrifying. Karel Staut, making his debut in the championship at just 14 years of age, delivered a dream lap in NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota to claim overall pole position – a feat set to go down in Iberian Supercars history.
