Rising Star

Born on October 20, 2010, in Genk, Belgium, Karel is a promising talent in the world of racing, splitting his time between Belgium and Switzerland. Fluent in Dutch, French, German, and English, Karel communicates effortlessly in international settings.

In 2025 he competed in the USF Juniors, atteining 9th place  overall in the rankings after 5 races and 5th in the rookie standings. Quite a StautFormance! Each training, each race, Karel is determined to leave his mark and chasing his dream of reaching the top in motorsport.

Karting

Karel has achieved notable success in Rotax karting championships, showcasing his talent as a young racer. In 2020, he secured the title of European Vice Champion in the Rotax Mini category and clinched the Swiss Champion Rotax Mini title.

He continued his dominance in 2021, repeating as Swiss Champion Rotax Mini and earning the Italian Vice Champion Zona Nord Rotax Mini title. In 2023, Karel proudly represented Switzerland in the prestigious FIA Karting Academy, further solidifying his reputation as a rising star in motorsport.

As test driver for AIM, he fine-tuned sensor prototypes and has contributed to the development of the CRG Black Mirror Chassis in the Rotax Mini Category.

Education

Karel combines an A-level science study with his racing career. His flexible curriculum allows him to balance rigorous training and competitions with high-quality education, enabling study anytime, anywhere.

Sports and Training

Off the track, Karel maintains peak fitness with a diverse regimen: five weekly cardio and strength sessions, two intense HYROX workouts for endurance and resilience, golf to sharpen focus, and tennis to boost reaction speed. He also hones his racing skills with sim training.

Karel has talent, relentless discipline, and a hunger to grow. He’s beaten drivers with double the testing time. He’s grounded, works incredibly hard, and treats every opportunity with respect.

QUALIFYING ON FIRE AND A BIG SURPRISE : YOUNG ROOKIE TAKES POLE

 

If the first session had already got the crowd on their feet, the second was equally electrifying. Karel Staut, making his debut in the championship at just 14 years of age, delivered a dream lap in NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota to claim overall pole position – a feat set to go down in Iberian Supercars history.

PERFECT PARITY IN SECOND TEST SESSION


In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Guillermo Aso and Filip Vava put NM Racing Team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4 at the top of the timesheets, with Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) just 0.030s behind and Bruno Pereira and Gonçalo Araújo (Araújo Competição’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR GT4 EVO) less than a tenth and a half from the lead, underlining how close the pace was – and is expected to remain – for the rest of the weekend.

 

TESTS PROMISE ON-TRACK BATTLES

 

In GT4 Pro-Bronze, Sérgio Azevedo and Orlando Batina (Batina Racing’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) set the pace with a 1:41.790, leaving Andrius Zemaitis and Karel Staut (NokoTech Racing by Speedy’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2) 0.313s behind. It was an auspicious start for this duo, teaming up for the first time. José Cautela and Lourenço Monteiro (McLaren Barcelona – SMC Motorsport’s McLaren Artura GT4) were third, just 0.347s off the top, hinting at a fierce weekend battle.
