Een privacybeleid is een verklaring die enkele of alle manieren bekendmaakt waarop een website de gegevens van bezoekers en klanten verzamelt, gebruikt, openbaar maakt en beheert. Het voldoet aan het wettelijke voorschrift om de privacy van een bezoeker of klant te beschermen.

Rain or shine – and anything in between – Karel Staut continues to be the one-to-beat in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama.

 

The Belgian driver delivered his third consecutive weekend sweep with Kellymoss in the GT3 Cup Pro-Am class, this time at Sonoma Raceway in mixed conditions that hung over competitors throughout the weekend.

Following a relatively smooth race on Friday, Staut faced his fiercest pressure yet on Saturday from Australian driver Lockie Bloxsom. The international duo weaved and dodged lapped traffic in the final 10 minutes, and Bloxsom nearly threatened Staut’s winning streak, but ultimately was unsuccessful.

 

“It was tricky in the changing conditions, and in the end, the track was pretty much dry from wets, and lapped traffic was more difficult than it had to be,” said Staut. “But it was really fun battling out there with Lockie and ending up getting the win out of it.

 

“I was surprised how he came back because I felt I had a pretty decent gap at the beginning. He was able to claw back, and I also had some lapped traffic. So, that was pretty interesting to see how different tire-saving and the changing conditions ended up being for him.

“I was really glad I was able to keep him behind me. He was definitely quicker towards the end, so I’m really happy to have a sixth win in a row.”

 

Bloxsom would settle for second in both races at Sonoma, just as he did during the last event at Barber Motorsport Park. The Australian completed his two-race stint in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama with four podium finishes from four starts. He now heads back “down under” to continue his Porsche Carrera Cup Australia campaign.

 

“Honestly, that was the funnest race I’ve ever had,” said a cheerful Bloxsom after the race. “I was having heaps of fun, but obviously I was determined to try and get him. I was like a deer in headlights looking straight at the back of his car. 

 

“But the track evolved a lot from the first lap of the race. It was super wet, and there was actually a little bit of debris from the race before. As the race went on, there was a dry line, but then cars in the back of the field were putting mud on the track. Pretty much every lap you turned, there was a different corner that had less grip and a different corner had more grip. 

 

“It was good to be diverse and learn on-the-go, but Karel did a great job.”

Perfect in Barber, with Racing for Children’s as a driving force, Barber, 27-29 March 2026

 

Karel Staut continued his strong start to the season at Barber Motorsports Park, claiming two more victories in the Pro-Am category of the Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama. After four races, he has taken four wins.

After securing pole position in Pro-Am, Staut delivered two controlled drives. He managed the pace throughout and remained fast and consistent, including in the closing stages of both races.

The weekend was clean and composed, further confirming his consistent form at the start of the season.

At Barber, Staut raced in the colors of Racing for Children’s, an initiative that supports children battling cancer and blood disorders and is closely embedded within the Kellymoss team. Carrying that message on track gave the weekend an added dimension, beyond the results alone.

Belgian young star Karel Staut and female racer Anna Cecchi emerged as the standout winners of the 2026 Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama season opener at Sebring International Raceway. 

15-year-old Staut captured both 992 victories across the weekend, while Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program racer Cecchi completed a Cayman sweep with back-to-back victories.

Friday’s race ran green flag for the full duration and both winners led every lap en route to the first checkered flag of the season. 

However, rain began to pour over the 3.74-mile circuit at the start of Race 2, leading to a nearly 15-minute red flag stoppage to give the teams an opportunity to change to wet weather Yokohamas.

In both races, Staut’s closest competition was Porsche Junior Program’s Riley Giacomazzi & Matthew Siegal, seeing the trio have a spirited start to Race 2 before Staut ultimately pulled away.

It was the Belgian’s first outing in Porsche One‑Make competition, stepping up from single‑seater racing in F4 with his only prior Porsche 911 GT3 Cup experience coming from European testing at the end of 2025.

 

Setting the Benchmark in Valencia, 19-20 February 2026

Two days. One clear message. At Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Karel Staut didn’t just participate: he set the standard.

During Thursday’s test, the young Belgian immediately asserted himself at the top of the timing sheets. Session after session, he demonstrated outright pace, consistency, and race intelligence well beyond his rookie status.

Friday’s Private Test of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe only reinforced that statement. Competing among experienced Pro drivers, Karel dominated the leaderboard for the majority of the day, repeatedly delivering the fastest laps and proving he belongs at the very front of the field.

Test, Circuit Zolder, 13 November 2025

Another exciting day at Circuit Zolder, where 15-year-old Karel Staut once again took the wheel of his trusted Porsche. With perfect conditions – sunshine, stability and plenty of track time – the focus was clear: push harder, drive cleaner and refine every detail.

Lap after lap, Karel sharpened his speed, setup and racing lines. What he showed today confirms what we at Belgium Racing have known for a while: Karel is one of the most promising young talents to join our ranks in recent years. His focus, maturity and eagerness to learn are exceptional for his age.

Karel benefits from full support: personal coaching, in-depth data analysis, technical guidance and an experienced crew behind him in the pit box. Test days like this are a key part of his progression – and today he proved once again that he’s ready for the next steps.
